This one was fun to make and as I was putting the little mane on him, he reminded me more and more of David Crosby - if I ever see him (got his autograph with my dad while CSN were on tour awhile back) again this is totally his.

My mom gave me some footie socks for my boy. Even though I don't think he's ever worn these - they look used. Ah-well. This is part of my first batch of monsters I've made since I've opened Etsy. I've gotten a good amount of views and great feedback. That's great!

I got my first custom request from a friend of mine. She was looking to give a unique gift to a co-worker for a baby shower. Most of my monsters are made with buttons, so I needed to be mindful of this little guy. I used some embroidery thread for the eyes and Lucas is every bit as cute without the use of buttons!

I'm entertaining the idea of starting an etsy store. I'm enjoying the positive feedback on my facebook photo album.

I am looking forward to hear how the baby shower goes.

Maxwell

My friend Lisa posted on my facebook monster album at least three times that she wants a monster. I think the quote has been "I want one! I want one!" Well, I finally made a monster just for her. I actually thought about which socks I thought she'd like and what I'd want to do with the little fellow. This is Maxwell - you'll notice that he's with some tarot cards; these were a gift from Lisa a while back when we were in college. I was hoping to get it to her last week, but boy did the time get away from me. I'll mail Maxwell on Monday.
